THE CAMPUS PLACEMENTS


The University of Hyderabad has a good reputation amongst the companies and a large number of companies come for the Campus Placements every year. The Placement & Counselling Center helps the students in all respects.

The first(1999-2000) batch of M.Tech(CT) experienced the placements for the first time in July-August 2000. They went through the campus placement procedure along with MTech(Computer Science), MTech(Artificial Intelligence) and M.C.A.'s. In all, the placements were overwhelming, with most of the students of all the above-mentioned courses placed in good companies. In fact, few of them, including one M.Tech(CT) student, achieved the Golden Feat of getting placed in two companies.

In particular, 4 out of 6 students of M.Tech (Computational Techniques) were placed. Two of them in Mahindra British Telecom (MBT, Pune) and one each in SQL-Star India Ltd & MegaSoft India Ltd.

1999-2000 Batch : The First Batch


  • V. Ram Krishna

    • Ramki has done a project titled Web-Site Creation for TRCT (Technology Resource Center For Telugu) under Dr.P R K Murthy from Department of Computer Science. He opted for Image Processing and Speech Processing & Recognition as his electives in the second semester.

    Ram Krishna has been placed in MegaSoft India Ltd as a Software Engineer through Campus Placements.

  • M.Srinivas

    • Srinivas has done a project under Prof V.S.S.Sastry at National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA), Hyderabad. He opted for Speech Processing & Recognition and Algorithmics as his electives in the second semester.

    Srinivas is one of the guys who succeeded in getting placed in two companies. One of them is SQL-Star and the other is MBT.

  • K. Prashant

    • Prashant did a project titled Optical Character Recognition of Telugu text under Prof. Arun Agarwal & Dr. Atul Negi at Department of Computer Science, HCU. He opted for Image Processing and Speech Processing & Recognition as his electives in the second semester.

    Prashant has been placed in Mahindra British Telecom (MBT) through Campus Placement.

  • Sridhar Reddy

    • Sridhar has done a project titled Content Creation Tool for Physics using XML & JAVA under Dr.K.C.Reddy at Department of Computer Science, HCU. He opted for Speech Processing and Computer Graphics as his electives in the second semester.

  • Atchuta Ram

    • Atchuta did a project in Cryptography under Prof. Hrishikesh Mohanty, at Department of Computer Science, HCU. He opted for Image Processing and Speech Processing & Recognition as his electives in the second semester.

    Atchuta has been placed in Mahindra British Telecom (MBT) through Campus Placement.

  • K. Vishwanathan

    • Vishwanathan has done a project titled Wavelet Analysis on Breast Cancer Cells Data under Dr. Prasanta Panigrahi at School of Physics, HCU. He opted for Algorithmics and Computer Graphics as his electives in the second semester.
